5 Super-fast Techniques To Warm-up Leads on LinkedIn
I use these tips weekly.
You’ve identified the company you want to work with. You know who you should contact in the company.
Problem is:
they don’t know you.
you have no one to refer you to them
their DM is locked
You have two options,
send a cold pitch through personalized request and risk ending up in their spam books.
engage their content to build a lasting relationship.
On a scale of 1-10, the second option is a 9— it’s the option most likely to work. But most people get cold feet because they don’t know what to say.
Comments such as “Great tip, thanks for sharing” will not cut it. So what do you do?
Here are three LinkedIn engagement strategies that work for me all the time.
Quote a part of their post verbatim, say why you agree with the idea, and follow up with a personal experience or a question.
See how I sparked a conversation with Sarah Brooks in the screenshot below:

Repost their content while sharing your unique input. That way, you’re bringing more eyeballs on their content while promoting yourself. You’re showing them how you think and how you might bring to the table when they hire you. Besides, popular people get 100s of comment, reposting with your ideas is the best way to ensure they read your comment.
Tag your prospect to share thoughts on a relatable post. Remember we talked about being a facilitator. That’s what you’d be doing here. You’re facilitating a collaboration between your prospect and people who think like them.
See how Saheed Hassan invited Andrea Bosoni (top marketing expert) to this B2B SaaS pricing conversation. That way, Saheed can send a personalised message to Andrea without coming off as a spammer.

Write a post related to your prospects’, use their quote, and tag them in the body of the post. Again, you’re showing how your portfolio of thoughts align to theirs. See how I used Andrea’s Twitter post for my LinkedIn content in the screenshot below:

Engaging your prospect like that for a period puts you on their radar. That way, your connection request or DMs cuts through the noise in their inbox.
If you’re looking for more ways to get people to accept your connection requests, read the full article here.
Enjoy the rest of the week.
